DP Poland PLC - operator of Domino's pizza stores and restaurants in Poland and Croatia - Announces acquisition of Mastergrupa SP ZOO, trading as Pizzeria 105. It is the fourth-largest pizza brand in Poland, with 90 stores and 76 franchisees. The acquisition is for PLN42.3 million, around GBP8.5 million. The seller of Pizzeria 105, Marcin Ciesielski, agrees to re-invest one third of the sum via its family office, MC Family Fundacja Rodzinna, equating to around GBP2.7 million, subscribing for 23.6 million new shares of DP Poland at a price of 11.4 pence per share, a premium to their current price in London. With the acquisition, DP Poland expands its presence into 31 new Polish cities.
DP POland Chief Executive Officer Nils Gornall says: "We are delighted to acquire Pizzeria 105, advancing our plan to operate 200 Domino's stores in Poland by 2027 and unlocking the longer-term potential for 500+ locations. This acquisition fast-tracks our transition to a predominantly franchised, capital-light model, with over half of our stores set to be franchise-operated from completion."
