Oriole Resources PLC - West and Central Africa-focused gold explorer - Announces final results from phase 5 drilling programme recently completed at the Bakassi zone 1 prospect. Says programme was completed over three sub prospects, and results for the final seven drill holes in the BZ1-MRE target show they are all mineralised. Says the holes contained in total 49 reported intervals including 1.10 metres at 4.34 grams of gold per tonne from 92.20 metres; 2.20m at 8.11g/t Au from 122.90m; and 1.00m at 3.93g/t Au from 145.30m. Oriole says the results show that the mineralisation continues between the existing fence lines. Also, "there is scope to expand and partially upgrade the resource".
An independent structural review is in progress to help refine the geological and mineralisation model, which will inform the next independent consultant's mineral resource estimate upgrade. Expects to complete this in the second quarter of this year. Also, it has submitted an updated environmental & social impact assessment report and "is about to complete more advanced metallurgical test work to determine the appropriate mineral processing flow sheet".
