(Alliance News) - Oxford BioDynamics PLC on Wednesday said it has partnered with Regina Maria Private Health Network, the largest medical services provider in Romania, on the distribution of its blood test products.
Oxford BioDynamics is an Oxford, England-based biotechnology company with two blood testing products on the market - the PSE prostate cancer screening test and the CiRT checkpoint inhibitor response test.
Regina Maria operates eight hospitals, 60 polyclinics with more than 400 partner clinics, 36 medical laboratories, more than 100 blood collection points, 30 imaging centres, and over 720,000 patients in Romania covered by health insurance subscriptions.
The distribution agreement enables Regina Maria to market and offer OBD's EpiSwitch tests in Romania, with patients' blood samples shipped for analysis to OBD's clinical testing laboratory in Oxford.
"OBD welcomes Regina Maria as our partner, as we continue to work diligently to broaden availability of our diagnostic tests through partnerships," said Executive Chair Iain Ross.
"Through this collaboration, we aim to ensure that patients in Romania - the first in the [European Union] to adopt EpiSwitch clinical tests into private healthcare - have convenient, widespread access to EpiSwitch PSE as a highly accurate test for prostate cancer risk, and EpiSwitch CiRT for those considering or on cancer immunotherapy."
Shares in Oxford BioDynamics were up 0.1% at 0.50 pence each in London on Wednesday afternoon.
