(Alliance News) - Likewise Group PLC on Monday said it has made a positive start to 2025, as sales revenue grew in January.

The Birmingham, England-based floor coverings distributor said total sales revenue grew 8.4% in January, with Likewise branded businesses growing by 14%.

The firm said it has completed the purchase of a freehold logistics centre in Ivybridge near Plymouth, England for GBP1.2 million.

The deal was funded from internal cash and increases its freehold property portfolio to GBP23.3 million.

The new centre will establish Likewise South West and enable development of Valley Wholesale Carpets in Devon and Cornwall, completing its UK geographical coverage, the company said.

Chief Executive Tony Brewer said: "The momentum developed in [the second half of] 2024 has continued in the early part of 2025 providing the group with confidence in an exciting future and further progress towards our medium term objectives."

Likewise shares were flat at 19.25 pence in London on Monday morning.
