Comptoir Group PLC - London-based owner and operator of Lebanese, Middle Eastern and North African inspired restaurants - Chaker Hanna has returned to the company to be chief executive officer, effective immediately, Comptoir says, confirming plans revealed late last month. Hanna was CEO of Comptoir from 2010 to 2022. He currently is non-executive chair of quick-service restaurant chain Sandwich Sandwich. Hanna replaces Nick Ayerst, who leaves the board immediately but will support a handover before starting a new role in March. Ali Aneizi also steps down immediately from the board, and Comptoir is searching for a new independent non-executive director.

"I am delighted that Chaker is re-joining the company as CEO," says Founder & Creative Director Tony Kitous. "He was an instrumental part of the group's leadership team for many years and is ideally placed to steer Comptoir through the next phase of its growth journey."
