Jubilee Metals Group PLC - London-based metal processing company, with projects in South Africa and Zambia - Says it is preparing to re-start operations at its Zambia Roan copper concentrator plant after it secures new power supply agreement. Notes that it has received regulatory approval for its new power supply agreement in Zambia. Power delivery commenced on Monday this week. Electricity outages in Zambia have disrupted Roan concentrator.
Jubilee says the additional power supply agreement provides access to a distributed power base from multiple sources of generation. "The commencement of the additional power supply successfully addresses current power supply limitations that affected Roan's ability to operate historically," Jubilee Chief Executive Officer Leon Coetzer says, adding: "We now turn our attention to preparing the plant for re-start and remain focused on delivering reliable production and operational resilience."
