(Alliance News) - Ireland's trade surplus extended in September, data published by the Central Statistics Office showed on Friday.
Its trade surplus more than doubled in September to EUR11.00 billion from EUR5.42 billion in August, representing a EUR5.58 billion increase.
Exports of goods for September reached the highest monthly figure on record, jumping 23% to EUR22.02 billion from EUR17.95 billion in August.
Imports in September declined 12% to EUR11.02 billion from EUR12.53 billion the prior month.
