(Alliance News) - Boku Inc on Wednesday said it has entered into an agreement with Amazon.com Inc's Japanese arm for the supply of digital payments methods.
The San Francisco-based mobile payment service provider revealed the new commercial deal will see it supply Amazon Japan GK with digital wallet and other payment methods for the processing of transactions through the amazon.co.jp website.
Boku said the revenue it will receive from the agreement depends on processed transaction value and could lead to the vesting of warrants previously issued to Amazon.
Boku Chief Executive Stuart Neal said: "This new agreement with Amazon Japan is a testament to Boku's goal to provide innovative and secure mobile payment solutions to global merchants.
"We are excited to partner with Amazon Japan and expand our presence in the Japanese market, which is one of the leaders in mobile wallet adoption."
Shares in Boku were up 1.3% to 190.00 pence on Wednesday morning in London.
