(Alliance News) - Gunsynd PLC announced on Tuesday that its investee company, Aberdeen Minerals Ltd, has successfully wrapped up its summer drilling campaign at the Arthrath project in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

The investor in companies and projects in the natural resource sector said Aberdeen Minerals had completed 2,682 meters of core drilling across seven boreholes, reaching depths of 243 to 510 meters.

The drilling aimed to test for nickel, copper, and cobalt deposits in a previously unexplored area of the Arthrath site.

The campaign revealed a sulphide "trap" feature, containing concentrations of sulphide minerals located between 170 and 250 meters.

Gunsynd said Aberdeen Minerals is updating its geological model with consultant-led analysis, and assay results from sampling are expected later in the fourth quarter. Gunsynd said follow-up work will include detailed geophysical surveys to map the extent of the sulphide trap zone and identify additional targets.

This groundwork is intended to set the stage for the next drilling campaign, planned to begin in February or March 2025.

Gunsynd holds 2 million shares in Aberdeen Minerals, acquired for GBP150,000.

The London-listed stock were down 3.4% at 0.11 pence on Tuesday afternoon.
