(Alliance News) - Northcoders Group PLC on Tuesday said that its consultancy brand, Counter, has been accepted onto the G-Cloud 14 framework.

Northcoders is a Manchester-based software coding training provider, while the G-Cloud 14 framework is the UK government's public sector digital marketplace.

According to the framework, Counter will be able to provide UK government departments, local councils, charities, and other public bodies with secure and scalable consultancy services.

"As a publicly listed company, we are confident that our training and technology solutions are delivered with optimum quality, security and rigour and therefore make us ideally placed to support government bodies in their digital transformation projects," said Chief Executive Officer Chris Hill.

"As outlined by the new Labour government, productivity must improve for the UK economy to grow, and the role that technology will play in this has been outlined repeatedly as part of this journey. We look forward to building on the early success of Counter and are confident that it can be an exciting new revenue stream for the group."

Shares in Northcoders Group were trading 1.5% lower at 163.50 pence each in London on Tuesday morning.
