Renewi PLC - Milton Keynes, England-based waste-to-products processor - Builds new 100 metre long jetty at the waste management site of subsidiary ATM in Moerdijk, the Netherlands. The new jetty costs EUR7.8 million to build but will allow up to six ships to dock at the same time, increasing capacity by 15%. It will be operational from November. ATM also commissions an additional degassing installation this year. ATM provides for the treatment of contaminated soil, wastewater and oily sludge and for the disposal of a wide range of hazardous wastes, such as packaged chemical waste, with the focus on recycling.
"These investments provide a strong foundation for growth in our water and soil cleaning business, and we continue to explore opportunities for further optimisation in order to strengthen ATM's position," says Renewi Chief Strategy Officer Bruno Bruins.
