(Alliance News) - Ireland's trade surplus contracted in June, data published by the Central Statistics Office showed Thursday.

Ireland's trade surplus declined 32% in June to EUR4.80 billion from EUR7.08 billion in May.

The country's exports declined 3.3% to EUR16.58 billion in June from EUR17.15 billion in May, while imports jumped 17% to EUR11.78 billion from EUR10.07 billion.
