(Alliance News) - Brooks Macdonald Group PLC on Monday said Andrew Shepherd plans to retire after 22 years with the company, and latterly three years as chief executive.

In his place, the London-based wealth manager has promoted Chief Financial Officer Andrea Montague to CEO. She will pick up the role from October 1.

To ensure a smooth handover, Montague will be appointed as CEO designate from July 1.

Montague has been CFO since August 2023. Before that, she was most recently chief risk officer at Aviva PLC, after serving as chief financial controller at the London-based insurer.

"Andrea has a breadth of experience in the UK long-term savings and asset management sector, with an extensive board and executive track record," Brooks said.

The company has begun a search for the CFO role.

Shares in Brooks were flat at 1,950.00 pence each in London on Monday afternoon.
