Bank of Ireland Group PLC - Dublin-based lender - Commissions broker J&E Davy and investment bank UBS to conduct a share buyback programme worth up to EUR520 million. The buyback will begin on Tuesday and run until December 18 at the latest. All shares repurchased on Euronext Dublin will be cancelled.

Bank of Ireland released its annual results on Monday, promising a mix of dividend and share buybacks in 2024 after profit jumped by more than 90% in 2023. Total shareholder distributions were EUR1.15 billion in 2023, up from EUR350 million in 2022. This consisted of EUR634 million in dividends - or 60 euro cents per share - plus EUR520 million in share buybacks.
