(Alliance News) - Wizz Air Holdings PLC responded to the conflict in Ukraine on Monday by taking all fights originating from Kiev and Lviv in Ukraine off sale.

Shares in Wizz Air were down 9.1% at 2,429.00 pence on Monday morning in London.

The Budapest-based airline also took flights originating from St Petersburg off sale.

Inbound flying to these and other destinations in Ukraine and Russia are also suspended until further notice, with flights inbound to Moldova shifted to Iasi, Romania until May 31.

The company said that its Ukrainian employees will be offered new employment within one of its bases. Wizz Air added that it continues to wait for a safe evacuation window for its four Ukraine-based aircraft.
