Alba Mineral Resources PLC - explorer with assets in Greenland, Ireland and the UK - Progressing with development plans at Clogau-St David's gold mine in North Wales. Drilling campaigns completed over the past 12 months have successfully identified "new development opportunities" in known historic gold production areas, it says. Two clear targets have been identified for near-term development, with preliminary development plans for these high-priority areas drawn up. Plans include extension of underground workings to key production targets - Llechfraith Payshoot and Jack Williams, New Branch, 7-10 and Grandfathers Lodes.
"Having successfully established gold-bearing structures and defined high-priority development opportunities through drilling, we are now focused on putting the detailed plans in place to undertake continuous exposure of those new structures by underground development. This is the most effective method to assess economic gold content in a project of this type," comments Executive Chair George Frangeskides.
