Griffin Mining Ltd - operator of the Caijiaying zinc-gold mine in China - Says Rupert Crowe has died after a brief illness. Notes Crowe created geological consultancy firm CSA Global and discovered the Caijiaying Zinc & Gold deposit.

"Every mineral discovery requires a champion. Someone who believes when all around do not believe. Rupert was that person. Without him Caijiaying would have remained an empty valley in China. it has been my absolute privilege to know him and to have spent a large portion of my working life with him," said Chair Mladen Ninkov.

Year-to-date change: up 49%
