(Alliance News) - 888 Holdings PLC on Tuesday announced it has agreed to a multi-year extension of its business-to-business poker partnership with Caesars Interactive Entertainment Inc.
The Gibraltar-based gambling firm said the agreement will see it continue to run the World Series of Poker brand's online poker rooms and to provide its turnkey poker platform and services to Caesars in the US, bringing the World Series of Poker online poker rooms to players' mobiles and desktops.
In addition, the agreement will include the US launch of Poker 88, 888's next generation software, which it launched in Europe in November, and the continuation of powering the US market's only interstate shared player liquidity poker network across the states of New Jersey, Delaware and Nevada. 888 did not provide any financial details of the contract.
888 also said it will continue to supply its casino platform and content to Caesar's casino brands, Harrah's and World Series of Poker Casino, in New Jersey. The agreement will enable 888, through the World Series of Poker brand and subject to regulatory approvals, to gain a presence in new jurisdictions in the US, such as Pennsylvania, where Caesars holds a license to operate.
"Our partnership with Caesars has been powering the hugely popular World Series of Poker brand online since 2013 and we are looking forward to continuing this relationship for many years to come. Our extended relationship will also enable 888 to gain a presence in new US states following the required regulatory approvals, which presents an important opportunity in our long-term development strategy for the US market," said Yaniv Sherman, 888's senior vice president and US head.
Shares in 888 Holdings were up 1.5% at 314.50 pence in London on Tuesday.
