BP PLC - London-based oil major - Alison Carnwath steps down as non-executive director on Thursday for "personal and professional reasons" after three years on the board. Carnwarth, a chartered accountant, was non-executive chair of Land Securities Group PLC before stepping down in 2018. She also has served a many other boards, including of Barclays PLC and Man Group PLC.

Summerway Capital PLC - seeking investments and acquisitions in software, software-as-a-service, digital technologies and services sectors - General meeting confirms Vin Murria as board chair and Paul Gibson and Tony Morris as non-executive directors. The previous chair, Alexander Anton, and Mark Farmiloe both resign as directors, while Kerin Williams becomes company secretary following the resignation of Cheryl Warren. Murria subscribes for 1.9 million new shares at 88 pence, worth GBP1.7 million. Now has 2.4 million shares, a 29.9% stake.

Big Yellow Group PLC - Bagshot, England-based self-storage company - Julia Hailes resigns as non-executive director. Big Yellow will soon start the search for a replacement.

Quixant PLC - Cambridge-based technology outsourcer for gaming industry - Hires Francis Small as senior independent director, starting Friday. Small retired from accountants Ernst & Young in 2015 after a 36-year career, including leading the UK Corporate Finance business and being managing partner of European Transaction Advisory Services. Small currently is a non-executive director of location data management firm 1Spatial PLC, which also is based in Cambridge.
