(Alliance News) - European Metals Holdings Ltd on Monday appointed Lincoln Bloomfield, a former US government official, as a non-executive director.
The mineral exploration and development company, focused on the Cinovec lithium-tin project in Czech Republic, said Bloomfield, who is based in Washington DC in the US, currently holds director roles at US companies Palmer Coates LLC, Mana Pacific Inc, Last Kilometer Corp, US Water Partnership and DDD Express LLC.
European Metals said Bloomfield's experience working within the security apparatus of the US government under three presidents and five administrations brings "critical know-how in dealing with security issues and strategic planning". He will "deepen the board's understanding of environmental threats and emerging resource insecurity concerns having potential national, regional and global impacts", it said.
The company added Bloomfield will be a "valuable addition" as it is focused on environmental, social and corporate governance related aspects of the critical raw materials and battery supply chain, as part of its commitment to support the European Commission's new batteries regulation.
Shares in European Metals were up 5.9% at 67.80 pence in London on Monday.
