MAM Funds, the investment manager that operates the Acuim, Midas and Miton-branded funds, has announced that it will be unifying all its funds under the Miton brand name, as well as launching a new small-cap fund.
“By moving to a single, unified retail brand and clarifying fund names, we believe it will make it clearer for both our intermediary and end customers,” said Graham Hooper, distribution director at MAM Funds.
This means that the following funds will have a name change this month:
- The Acuim UK Multi Cap Income Fund will become the CF Miton UK Multi Cap Income Fund
- The CF Midas Balanced Growth Fund will become the CF Miton Diversified Growth Fund, subject to FSA approval
- The CF Midas Balanced Income Fund will become the CF Miton Distribution Fund, subject to FSA approval
Additionally, some existing Miton funds will be getting name makeovers:
- The CF Miton Arcturus Fund will soon change its name to the CF Miton Total Return Fund
- The CF Miton Select Assets Fund recently changed its name to CF Miton Worldwide Opportunities Fund
MAM is also launching a new fund on Friday called the CF Miton UK Smaller Companies Fund. As the name implies, this fund will invest primarily in smaller UK companies and will be managed by Gervais Williams and Martin Turner.
“We anticipate that many of the smaller quoted stocks will be the best performers in the coming years. The CF Miton UK Smaller Companies Fund contrasts with many others in its ability to follow a post-credit boom strategy,” said Williams.
