It was a quiet week for the closed-end funds industry in terms of directors moves and dealings. The highlights follow.
Director Moves
Amati VCT (ATI): Brian Scouler has been appointed an executive director of the company, bringing the number of board members to four—the other three being non-executive directors. Scouler has more than 25 years’ experience in private equity management and previously he managed Dunedin Enterprise Investment Trust.
City of London (CTY): Philip Remnant has succeeded Simon de Zoete as chairman of the UK Growth and Income fund. De Zoete was appointed as a non-executive director in 2001 and became chairman the following year. Remnant joined the board of City of London at the start of this year.
