Lowland (LWI): The board of Lowland Investment Company has announced that Peter Troughton will become chairman of the company following the retirement of John Hancox at the AGM in January 2012. Hancox has been on the board since February 2000 and has held the role of chairman since 2004. Troughton has served as a non-executive director since 1990, which makes him the longest standing board member of the company. We are also encouraged to see him buying more shares in the company this week.
Majedie Investments (MAJE): Having served for just 19 months, Chris Arnheim has resigned from the board of Majedie Investments. He has been replaced by David Henderson, who holds three other non-executive directorships, including Cenkos Securities.
Fidelity Asian Values (FAS): Philip Smiley has bought his first tranche of shares since his appointment as a non executive director in January 2010.
West Pioneer Properties (WPR): Chris Hough has replaced Mihir Thakar as a non-executive director. Thakar has left the board after serving for almost five years. His successor, Hough, brings 34 years of experience in construction projects to his first non-executive role.
