DIRECTOR MOVES September 12-16: Nigel Guy replaces Peter Haigh as chairman of the company; Philip Marsden increases number of board members to five

City of London (CTY): After ten years on the board, Simon de Zoete is stepping down as chairman of the company on October 24. He will be replaced by Philip Remnant who joined the board in January.

Genesis Emerging Markets (GSS): Saffet Karpat has been appointed as an executive director of the company. He will join the board on October 1.

Impax Environmental Markets (IEM): William Rickett has bought his first tranche of shares since his appointment to the board in January.

North Atlantic Smaller Cos (NAS): Enrique Foster Gittes, one of the longest standing non-executive directors and former chairman of this fund, has just bought a tranche of shares of North Atlantic Smaller Cos. He used to hold a sizeable stake in the fund, but sold out in December 2010.

Northern Investors (NRI): Having served as chairman for more than six years, and on the board for more than 24 years, Peter Haigh has retired from office. Shareholders of the fund have appointed two new non- executive directors: Philip Marsden and Nigel Guy. Guy, who has replaced Haigh as chairman, has considerable experience of private equity having spent over 20 years in the industry; this includes a number of board roles. Marsden also brings broad experience having worked for over 22 years in the industry; he currently serves as a non-executive director of another listed company.

Utilico Investments (UTL): Peter Burrows has been appointed as a non-executive director, increasing the number of board members to five. He currently serves as a non-executive director of two other listed companies and a few non-listed ones.
