Director Changes: June 13-17
BlackRock New Energy (BRNE): We’re pleased to see Mark O’Hare at BlackRock New Energy buying his first tranche of shares in the company since his appointment to the board in February 2011.
Edinburgh Worldwide (EWI): David Coltman, non-executive director of Edinburgh Worldwide, has sadly passed away. He served just four months on the board. Our sympathies go to his family and friends.
London & Stamford (LSP): Jeremy Bishop, one of the team responsible for the management of London & Stamford, has sold just under 9% of his shares in the company, but he retains a significant holding and thus his interests remain closely aligned with his shareholders’.
Murray International (MYI): Ms Ella Brown has resigned from the boards of Murray International (MYI) and Murray International B (MYIB). She was only appointed as a non-executive director on 29 April 2011 – a very short tenure.
Pacific Horizon (PHI): Gerald Smith has confirmed he will not be standing for re-election to the board of Pacific Horizon in October 2011. This will put his tenure on the board at just 20 months. Smith is a partner at the fund’s investment manager, Baillie Gifford. Besides the chairman, Douglas McDougall, who has served over 20 years on the board, turnover has been high and tenures of current directors are short.
