Richard Lockwood has been appointed a non-executive director of Geiger Counter (GCL). Lockwood is the founder of New City Investment Managers, the investment manager of the fund. He acts as a consultant to all funds managed by the firm. His appointment takes the board to five members, the rest of whom have been in situ since the fund’s launch in 2006.
There’s a new chairman at F&C Capital and Income (FCI). Pen Kent will be stepping down as chairman in January 2012 after nearly seven years in this role. He will be replaced by Steven Bates, existing chairman of Baring Emerging Europe and non-executive director of two additional listed companies.
Jonathan Davis has joined the board of Jupiter Primadonna Growth (JPG); he is also a director of Hargreaves Lansdown.
There’s a director change at Low Carbon Accelerator (LCA). Alan Tanguy has resigned after serving 16 months on the board. He has been replaced by Andrew Munro in his first role as a non-executive director.
Murray International (MYI) and their B shares (MYIB) also have a new chairman following John Trott’s retirement from the board after eight and a half years. Incoming chairman Kevin Carter has been a board member since April 2009 and is also on the board of Lowland Investment Co. There are two additional appointments to the board of Murray: Ms Ella Brown and Peter Dunscombe. This is the first such appointment for both.
There are two new non-executive directors on the board of O Twelve Estates (OTE). Mark Donnor and Benjamin Warner have both taken up their first such positions here and are the first two new appointments since the fund launched in March 2006.
Ruffer Investment Company (RICA) has a new chairman, Ashe Windman. John de Havilland stepped down last month, as mentioned here. Windman is the COO of Hurstbourne Private Office and spent over five years at Man Group.
