New Star was founded in June 2000 by John Duffield who also founded Jupiter. The company began trading in January 2001 but launches its first two retail funds on July 2nd 2001.
The New Star UK Growth fund will be run by Alan Miller, New Star’s chief investment officer. Mr Miller was previously head of the specialist UK investment team at Jupiter.
