Welcome to Morningstar’s Good Money Week. I know what you’re thinking: this must be about ESG.
Well, hold your horses. Not necessarily.
Entirely fairly, there is something of an overlap with the topic of ESG, because investors often want to deploy their capital in ways that make a difference, fund worthy projects, or solve the world's (many) problems. But Good Money Week is broader than that.
Good Money Week is about your personal definition of money happiness. It’s about your financial goals. It’s about your version of what a good purchase looks like. And it’s about learning (and unlearning) the money behaviours that make us human beings. By contrast, it's also about what happens when money goes bad, and the solutions available to you if you’re facing an agonising decision.
So, if you’re an impulsive spender looking to find inspiration for a new goal, the charitable type wondering whether your money is landing in the right pockets, or a chess-playing cyrpto-knight concerned about the impact of bitcoin mining on the environment, we may just have something for you. Follow the site for regular updates in the next five days.
