Fund Screener
Morningstar’s Fund Screener enables you to screen for bond funds—or any other type of fund or fund of funds—according to your chosen criteria. Choose your parameters from a wide range of criteria, including Morningstar Quantitative and Qualitative Ratings, total expense ratios, standard deviation, risk relative to category, and many more. The Fund Screener tool gives clear and concise instructions at each stage, in case you need a helping hand.
Fund Quickrank
To facilitate meaningful comparisons, Morningstar has built separate Quickrank tools for closed-ended funds, open-ended funds, exchange-traded funds, ISA-eligible funds, life and pension funds, and even equities.
As you no doubt will have guessed, the Quickrank enables you to not only search for funds according to Morningstar category, provider, type of funds, and the type of investor that you are, but to also then quickly rank the results according to your chosen criterion.
From here, you may want opt to compare up to five funds in more detail, to use our Instant X-Ray tool to take a closer look at your portfolio’s asset allocation, or to add selected funds to your portfolio and save it for future visits to Morningstar.co.uk.
Portfolio Manager
Use Morningstar’s Portfolio Manager to create, monitor and manage your portfolio—real or fantasy. This tool has the added benefit of showing you, at one click, to what degree your underlying holdings are overlapping. You may be surprised at the results—are you as diversified as you think? Using our Instant X-Ray tool will give you an instant illustration of the basic characteristics of your portfolio, specifically its asset allocation, and show you at a glance how buying or selling a particular investment might change the portfolio’s overall exposure to different investment styles.
All our tools are free to use, but you need to be registered with Morningstar.co.uk to save your portfolio so that you can revisit it at your convenience. Register here and view all our tools here.
