Following a recent Morningstar Analyst Ratings Meeting, we have reinstated the BlackRock Corporate Bond fund’s Morningstar Analyst Rating™ of Bronze. The fund’s rating was previously Under Review following the announcement that Simon Blundell will relinquish his responsibilities as co-manager of the fund to take on the role of head BlackRock’s Sterling credit. Ben Edwards has now taken over sole management of the fund, having served as the co-manager on the fund since May 2012. We have a positive view of Edwards, bolstered by the fact that he continues to work closely with Blundell and employ the same flexible yet risk-aware process that Blundell and he used to good effect during their tenure as co-managers. We thus reinstate our Bronze rating.
